Spring...er, Fall cleaning :)

I know it's supposed to be "Spring Cleaning", but I tend to want to clean like a maniac in the fall. I think it's just being inside more during the fall and winter that I just need there to be no feeling of stuffiness or gloominess.

But then there's the cost of all of those disposable cleaning pads and wipes. I don't know about you, but the grocery bill is tight enough without all of that! So why not go the cheaper (and greener!) route and make your own washable pads and wipes?

Here are some of my favourite patterns in the never ending battle to save some money while keeping the house springy clean all through the winter :)

Swiffers are the big culprit for me for going through piles of them. When you have 2 dogs and 2 kids (Yeah I always count my husband too. Who doesn't?) the floors seem to get a little extra dirty. These are the perfect way to keep them nice and clean. Then when you're done, just throw them in with the wash!

Ok, so technically these scubbies are for cleaning you in the bathtub. But it's just as important to keep you clean as the rest of the house!

I love owls. It would make doing those pesky dishes easier with a cute little owl helping you through them!

Keeping the kiddos clean is a full time job sometimes! I know it is with mine at least. With these little critters, it'll make it quicker and easier!

I love these sponge keepers. Makes them a little less boring in their little bowl on the side of the sink that's for sure!

It is a huge pain sometimes when you're trying to do the dishes and that pot you made your favourite casserole in is just glued in there. These pot scrubbies are just what you need!

I can never manage to find all of the dryer sheets once I'm folding the laundry. I do find them however when my leg is itching and it turns out to be a dryer sheet stuck in my pant leg. That won't happen with these fun little dryer balls. You can add whatever scent you want when you make it AND you can reuse them again and again!

It drives me nuts when the soap sticks to the sink and makes that eternal stuck spot that's just horrible to try and scrub off. I'll be whipping up a few of these soap savers for my sinks!

Hopefully these will help get the cleaning done quicker and easier. Or you could do like I do sometimes and escape into my yarn and think I got the cleaning done :P
